Fax Failure Notifications
When you send a vFax, the system may attempt delivery up to 3 times. This means you could receive as many as 3 failure notifications for the same fax.
If you receive a “Fax Sent Successfully” or “Fax Queue Confirmation” email, your fax has gone through — no action is needed.
If you receive 3 consecutive failure notifications and no success confirmation, please forward the 3rd failure email to support@soundcurve.com.
Otherwise, review the common reasons for fax failures below and follow the troubleshooting steps.
1. Incorrect Fax Number Format
Make sure you are dialing the fax number exactly as required:
Confirm you addressing your email correctly: fax[destinationnumber]@titaniumvfax.com
Do not include a leading 1 in the destination number.
Email must be sent in Plain text format.
You may attach ONE document for faxing at a time. The following file types are supported: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .rtf, .ppt, .pptx, .tiff
2. Busy or Offline Receiving Fax Machine
The destination fax machine may be busy, offline, or out of paper.
Try resending the fax after a few minutes.
Try calling the fax number you are attempting to fax and confirm it is an active number, and you hear fax tones.
3. File Format or Size Issues
Ensure the document is in an accepted file format (PDF, TIFF, or DOC are most common).
Large files may fail. The size of the attachment is only limited by your email server.
4. Network or Service Interruption
Temporary internet or carrier issues can interrupt fax transmission.
If you continue to see repeated failures, open a support ticket.
