If you are having issues checking your voicemail when calling into your extension remotely this is the most common cause:

Do you have calls forwarded or "followed" to your cell? If you do and you are trying to call into your extension from that same cell phone it will cause a problem. When you call your extension and it then tries to reach you on that same cell phone you will essentially be calling your cell phone from your cell phone. Your cell phone will think you are trying to check your cell phone voicemail. One way to get around this issue is to block your caller ID when calling in to check your voicemail. You can often do this from your phone settings or on some networks you can dial *67 before the number.

The second most common cause is that you are pressing the number keys when entering the password too quickly on an outside phone, try pressing the keys slowly.
