Yealink phones allow you to manage multiple calls simultaneously using the line keys located beside the display screen. These keys indicate which calls are active, on hold, or ringing, and can be used to switch between callers, place calls on hold, and create conference calls.

Handling Multiple Calls

Answering a Second Call

If you are on an active call and another call comes in:

  1. Press the green illuminated line key associated with the incoming call.
  2. Your current call will automatically be placed on hold.
  3. The new call will be answered.

Switching Between Calls

To alternate between two calls:

  1. Press the green line key for the call you wish to speak with.
  2. The other call will automatically be placed on hold.
  3. Repeat as needed to toggle between callers.

Starting a New Call While on a Call

To place a new outbound call while already on a call:

  1. Press the green line key for your current call to place it on hold.
  2. Select an available line key.
  3. Dial the phone number or extension you wish to call.

Creating a Conference Call

You can merge two separate calls into a three-way conference.

  1. Establish your first call.
  2. Place the first call on hold by selecting another available line key.
  3. Place or answer the second call.
  4. Once one call is active and the other is on hold, a Conf soft key will appear at the bottom of the display.
  5. Press Conf.
  6. Both calls will be joined together, creating a conference call where all parties can hear and speak with one another.

Example

  • Caller A is on Line 1.
  • Caller B is on Line 2.
  • Press Conf to merge Caller A, Caller B, and yourself into a single conference call.

IMPORTANT Note: The conference is not created until the Conf soft key is pressed for the second time.
