These codes let you quickly block or unblock phone numbers directly from any desk phone.

*1. 30 — Blacklist a Number

Use when: You want to manually block a specific phone number.

How to use it:

  1. Pick up the phone.

  2. Dial *30.

  3. When prompted, enter the phone number you want to block, then press #.

Result: The number is added to the system blacklist and future calls from it will be rejected.

*2. 32 — Blacklist the Last Caller

Use when: A spam call just came in and you want to block them immediately.

How to use it:

  1. Pick up the phone.

  2. Dial *32.

Result: FreePBX will automatically blacklist the last number that called your extension.

No need to type anything.

*3. 31 — Remove a Number From the Blacklist

Use when: A previously blocked number (customer, vendor, or friend) needs to be allowed again.

How to use it:

  1. Pick up the phone.

  2. Dial *31.

  3. Enter the phone number you want to remove, then press #.

Result: The number is removed from the blacklist and can call you again.
