With SoundCurve’s Virtual Fax service, you can easily send a fax directly from your email.
Important: Make sure the email address you are sending from has been whitelisted by a SoundCurve representative.
An email address that receives faxes for your business is not automatically approved for sending faxes.
If you are unsure whether your email is whitelisted, please contact SoundCurve Support: support@soundcurve.com for confirmation.
Steps to Send an Email-to-Fax:
Address the Email
In the To: field, enter the recipient’s fax number in this format:
Do not include a leading “1” or the fax will fail.
For international numbers, use the full country code + area code + number (no prefixes like “011”).
Example:
This will fax to the U.S. number (222) 333-4444. Tip: Please double-check the spelling of titaniumvfax.com, it's very common to misspell or forget a character. This will result in a fax failure. It has to include: titanium v fax . com
Format the Email
Send the email in Plain Text format (HTML may cause issues).
You may attach only one document per fax.
File size is limited only by your email server.
Most common formats (PDF, DOC, TIFF, etc.) are supported.
Body and Subject Line
The email body becomes the fax cover page.
If left blank, no cover page will be sent — only the attachment will be faxed.
To include the recipient’s name on the cover page, place it at the start of the Subject line.
Example:
In this example:
The fax is sent to (222) 333-4444.
The recipient’s name on the cover page is John Smith.
The attached document resume.doc is included.
Each fax is attempted up to three times before being marked as a final failure.
If you receive three failure emails, please forward the third (final) failure notice to support@soundcurve.com for review.
If you receive one or two failure notices, followed by a queue update email, this means your fax is still in progress.
Once the fax is successfully delivered, you will receive a confirmation email. This confirmation overrides any earlier failure messages.
If you are having trouble faxing a specific phone number, try calling the number first to confirm:
The line is active and in service.
You can hear fax tones (the high-pitched modem sound). Why this matters:
Fax machines rely on these tones to establish a connection between devices. If no tones are heard, the line may belong to a regular voice phone, may be disconnected, or may not be configured to receive faxes, which will prevent your fax from going through.
