How to Transfer a Voicemail to Another Extension's Inbox Using the Sangoma Talk App

If you receive a voicemail on your extension and need to forward it to another user's mailbox, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Access Your Voicemail

  1. Open the Sangoma Talk app.
  2. Dial *97 and press Call.
  3. Enter your voicemail password if prompted.

Step 2: Listen to the Message

  1. Select or listen to the voicemail message you would like to transfer.
  2. Once the message begins playing, press 0 for additional options (if prompted by your voicemail system).

Step 3: Forward the Voicemail

  1. Press 8 to forward the message. Press 1 to confirm you want to forward this message. 
  2. Enter the extension number of the recipient's mailbox. (ex: 502)

Step 4: Record an Optional Introduction

  1. After entering the destination extension, you will be given the option to record a brief introductory message.
  2. Dial 1 to record your introductory message if desired, or dial 2 to send without an introduction.
  3. Press # when finished recording. After # is dialed, it completes the action of sending the message.

Step 5: Send the Voicemail

  1. Hang up once you receive confirmation that the voicemail has been successfully forwarded.

Example

To forward a voicemail to extension 505:
  1. Dial *97
  2. Listen to the voicemail (Press 1 to hear New Messages)
  3. Listen to VM
  4. Press 8 to forward, dial 1 to confirm
  5. Enter 505 (to forward VM to x505)
  6. Press 1 to record an optional introduction, or 2 to not for x505 to hear before the VM plays
  7. Press # to complete transfer
  8. Follow the prompts to send the message
