Do Not Disturb (DND) Softkey on Yealink Phones

On Yealink phones, the DND (Do Not Disturb) softkey allows you to temporarily silence incoming calls to your phone.

What DND Does

When DND is enabled:

  • Incoming calls will not ring your phone

  • Callers are typically sent directly to voicemail (or follow your system’s call handling rules)

  • Your phone remains registered and online

How to Tell If DND Is On

When DND is active, you will see:

  • A DND icon or message on the phone’s LCD screen

  • The DND softkey is displayed as enabled

This indicates your phone will not ring until DND is turned off.

How to Turn DND On or Off

  • Press the DND softkey on the phone to toggle it on or off

  • If the softkey is unavailable or unresponsive, you can force DND off by dialing:

*79 — Force DND Disable

Once dialed, the DND indicator should disappear, and normal call ringing will resume.

*Important Tip (Power Outages)

If there is a power outage or reboot while DND is enabled, the phone may come back online with DND locked on. In this state:

  • The phone will appear normal but will not ring

  • The DND softkey may not properly toggle off

? To restore normal ringing, dial *79 to fully disable DND.

When to Use DND

DND is useful when you:

  • Are in a meeting

  • Need focused work time

  • Want to avoid interruptions temporarily

  • Work remotely and want to end your business day

Tip: If your phone is not ringing, always check for the DND indicator on the screen or dial *79 to ensure DND is disabled.
